30th July - Opera in the Park at Victoria Park. Bring a rug, picnic and relax and soak in the performances.

30th - 31st July - Join officers and crew on board the HMS warrior for a day filled with entertainment and activities including gun drills, knot-tying, games, workshops and much more.

4th - 7th August - La Dolce Vita Italian market will be at Gunwharf Quays. Expect a lot of delicious Italian food!

14th August - Bring back the sixties with Beach Buggin at Southsea Common. If you love VWs, then this show is for you.

27th - 29th August - Portsmouth International Kite Festival at Southsea Common. This is always a great day out for any age group. You will be wowed by the enormous colourful kites on display that come in all shapes and sizes, and you definitely wont leave empty handed with the numerous kite stalls available.

8th - 11th September - Portsmouth Heritage Open Days - Run by English Heritage, this event allows free access to a range of properties which have architectural merit that are not usually open to the public. Buildings include castles, factories, Buddhist temples and much more.

17th - 18th September - Pirate weekend at the Blue Reef Aquarium. This will be a great day out for the kids, and who knows you may even bump into Captain Jack Sparrow!

22nd - 25th September - Portsmouth film festival - For all lovers of film. Hosted at various locations across the city.
